Nadia Schnock graduated from Brussels\u2019 Fine Arts Academy. Since then, she has been exploring the \u201cperformative object\u201d in visual arts. Since 1997, she has regularly been invited to present her work in numerous galleries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her interest in performance has led to her to collaborate with dance and theatre makers. She has worked on the set-design and the dramaturgy of numerous productions, including Starfish position<\/em> by Carlos Pez, Supernatural<\/em> by Alix Eynaudi, Beyond Mary and Joseph<\/em> and Missing Link<\/em> by Lilia Mestre or Inner horizons<\/em> by Yukiko Nakamura. She has also directed Thomas Plischke\u2019s (RE)sort<\/em> and Davis Freeman\u2019s Transit<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2005, she collaborated with Les Vedettes on their show Plus ou moins majorettes (More or Less Cheerleaders)<\/em>. Building on this collaboration, she made connections with the music scene, and worked with French singer Philippe Katherine on the album Disque N\u00b01<\/em>. Following this musical collaboration, she released a video for Juke Box<\/em>, collaborated with the Brokenaerts on the musical-theatre piece Recollez les morceaux (Patch things up)<\/em>. More recently, she has created Mireilles<\/em>, a commission by Les Tomb\u00e9es de la nuit in Rennes (France).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gary<\/em>, her latest piece, was coproduced by Les Halles de Schaerbeek in Brussels, and BUDA art centre in Kortrijk (Belgium).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4797,"template":"","class_list":["post-4796","artists","type-artists","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
