SOROUR DARABI is a self-taught Iranian artist living and working in Paris who works with\u00a0M\u00e9t\u00e9ores, a French\u00a0choreographic production platform. Working actively in Iran, they were part of the underground organisation ICCD, whose festival Untimely (Teheran) hosted their work before their departure for France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During their studies at the CCN de Montpellier they created the solo\u00a0Subject to Change<\/em>, a performance that questions transformation with regards to time and one’s cohabitation with an environment. In 2016, they created\u00a0Farci.e<\/em>, a solo dealing with notions of language, gender identity and sexuality, at the Festival Montpellier Danse.\u00a0Then,\u00a0Savu\u0161un<\/em>\u00a0(2018), was an ode\u00a0to affect,\u00a0to\u00a0vulnerability, and to beings who are affected, which was inspired by the grieving ceremonies of the Muharram and deals with questions of emotions: grief, fear, and suffering.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2021, they will create\u00a0Mowgli<\/em>, a solo dealing with the codifications of the\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0wildness\u00a0\u00bb in an urban jungle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":5056,"template":"","class_list":["post-5055","artists","type-artists","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
